1800 Beach Blvd, Gulfport MS, Armed Forces Retirement Home Bridge

My daughter, Skye, and I always seem to have a perpetual bucket list of things we want to do in our home area.

Our list is made up of simple things like catching a view from the top floor of a tall casino, to crossing each walking bridge that crosses Hwy 90 or Beach blvd.

So, hear is evidence of a bucket list item now checked off. This photo will also be added to my Gray on Gray Collection. (Ironically, I used to be disappointed in a gray day, but they seem to provide some of my best photos).

Accessing the bridge is a little challenging because there is no ready parking.

I found it easiest to slow down after when coming upon the traffic light nearest the bridge. Indicate pulling to the right and slowing down. About 1 tenth of a mile East is a pull over area. Actually, before the bridge there are pull over areas ranging from 4/10 of a mile to 2/10 of a mile West of the bridge.

Of course if you are actually visiting the Armed Forces Retirement home with a bona fide purpose, you can walk from the retirement home to the bridge. This reminds me to add two new items to my bucket list.
  1. I will arrange a tour of the ASR home.
  2. I hope to sign up as a volunteer AND adopt a resident.
That would be one way of having fun, getting some exercise and investing my free time. I look forward to it. I hope to play horse shoes, croquet, have a companion for walks, maybe play some cards and checkers. I can't wait!

Keep Mississippi Beautiful - Take Pride in Mississippi Ad

Hey, everyone--I am on another pro-pick up/anti-litter campaign. We have annual clean up days--but if we each do our part every day, our beautiful environment will be protected.
